Proverbs 21:3 (KJV) – To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Justice is playing on a fair playing field.  It is about having equality, neutrality, impartiality, honesty and morality.  Organizations and municipalities set up rules and laws to keep the justice and peace.

Proverbs 29:4 (NLT) – A just king gives stability to his nation, but one who demands bribes destroys it.

There must be judgement with justice.  Who decides what is fair?  A just king gives stability to his people. We cannot go around doing whatever feels good.

Isaiah 10:1-2 (NIV)

1 Woe to those who make unjust laws,
to those who issue oppressive decrees,
2 to deprive the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,
making widows their prey
and robbing the fatherless.

We cannot dump our waste in our neighbor’s yard because it is easiest.  The county cannot take the land of a rich widow.  Justice must be kept by giving everyone the same rights to life.

Jeremiah 22:13 (KJV) – Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

Make every effort to live peaceably with all men.  Let justice have her way when deciding how to handle a situation.  Do not take advantage of the poor or weak.

Proverbs 22:8 (NLT)

Those who plant injustice will harvest disaster,

and their reign of terror will come to an end.
