19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Keep it between the lines. In sports as in life there are rules and boundaries. They give meaning to our actions. The rules in sports keep players and coaches safe. The rules and boundaries produce the competition. Imagine a football field with no sidelines. Imagine a baseball field with no foul lines. Imagine a golf course with no tee box. How fun is it to play golf with someone that tries to cheat?? In life as in sports, people and athletes have the option to cheat. Anyone can break the rules. There will be consequences if you are caught. In our walk with God, there are consequences when you cheat, whether or not you get caught. Sin seperates us from God. The BIBLE is also known as, “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.”
John 8:31-32 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
When we live our lives according to the rules, we shall find freedom and opportunity. When we play according to the rules, we have a chance to win. Life is not a game, but it can be a challenge. God calls us as Christians to excel and press on toward the higher calling of God in Jesus name. We have instructions, follow them.
