Delight In God’s Law
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Delight in His law, both day and night. Look for God’s wisdom in everything you see, everything you feel, everything that happens and every chain of events. You will not turn into a tree. Psalm 1 says you will be “like a tree planted by the rivers.”
It simply means you will have the necessary things to live. You will flourish if you find joy in doing right. You will have strength even in times of drought. Trees near a river have moist nourishing soil providing all they need. Do not delight in evil, delight in the laws of God.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
