Your Private Life
Are you entitled to a private life? Yes.
Keep your private life Holy.
Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Giving to the needy and poor in private is rewarded by God. Don’t wave your money around for everyone to see as you put it in the offering plate. Don’t flaunt your donations and make a specticle of your alms. Give in secret.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Know that God hears your private prayers. Of course, it is good to pray on a corporate level in the church or with a praying fellowship of people. God rewards the faith of private prayers.
Matthew 6:17-18 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Your fasting should be done in private. You may share your reasons for fasting with prayer partners, but don’t make your fasting a public display of suffering. Keep your fasting Holy and just between you and God.
