John 18:36 (NKJV) – 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Christians have courage! When Jesus stood before Pilate, He was courageous. Jesus had the courage to do the will of His Father. It was God’s will that prophecy be fulfilled. Jesus knew that the battle belongs to God and he had to face death to defeat it.
Psalm 44:22 (KJV) – Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
The world saw a sheep being led to the slaughter. Jesus was a warrior going to battle with courage. Do not lay down on Baal’s alter and count it God’s will. Do not give in to the ruler of the world you see with your eyes.
“Do not go gentle into that ‘good’ night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light” – Dylan Thomas
Isaiah 53:7 (KJV) – He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Prophecy does not say your Savior Jesus was dumb. It says the world would see him as a dumb sheep being led to the slaughter on that most important day of God preparing the “perfect sacrifice” for your sins.
The courageous thing for Christians to do is live out the will of the Father without fear of what death can do to us. Jesus was the FINAL SACRIFICE. It is not God’s will for us to lay down and succomb to death.
Revelation 5:5 (KJV) – And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Fight the good fight. Run the race. Be of courage. Serve the Risen Lord. Seize the Day. Make your life extraordinary.
