How can anyone read the gospel of John and not believe that Jesus lives. Jesus was clearly beaten, flogged and hung on a wooden cross to die. Jesus was dead and buried.
He unmistakenly was witnessed as being alive and spent time with the people. Many witnessed the miracle of Jesus being alive after He was crucified.
Jesus knew Peter had denied knowing Him during His trial and persecution. He gave Peter the opportunity to reaffirm his Faith in Jesus. “Lovest thou Me?” Peter affirmed his love for Jesus three times.
Jesus told Peter, feed my sheep. Jesus also told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem. He was leaving, but in a few days sending the Holy Spirit.
It was Peter that was preaching on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit fell upon the people listening. Peter was obeying Jesus and feeding His sheep.
Jesus is the Bread of Life. Remain in Christ and you can feed Jesus’ sheep, also.
