James 1:2-3 (NKJV)
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
There will be storms in our lives. There will be trials and situations that test our faith. We have to trust God when facing troubles.
There is a supernatural Peace that Christians have in times of trouble. This Comfort during painful times is often misinterpreted by the world.
The Peace we have inside of us during turmoil is Jesus. Jesus said, “My Peace I give unto you.”
John 14:27 (KJV) – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Ephesians 6:11-12 (KJV) – 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
It is the supernatural Power of God when we face storms in our life and we feel joy, peace, longsuffering, faith and The Holy Spirit saying, “Greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.”
The world may label you or call you names when you have Peace during painful trials. “insane” or “in shock” or “coping” are worldly labels for people relaxing during troubled times.
The Peace that the Bible talks about, shalom, is not a lack of trouble. It is seperate from negative, not a result from negative. Biblical peace can be found without conflict. It is Peace inside you, a gentle goodness.
Isaiah 48:18 (KJV) – O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
Isaiah 57:21 (KJV) – There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
Isaiah 59:8 (KJV) – The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
John 16:33 (KJV) – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Romans 8:6 (KJV) – For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 15:33 (KJV) – Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
