Out Of This World

John 8:22-23 (NKJV) – 22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?” 23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

John 18:36 (KJV) – 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

John 3:19 (NLT) – 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

Jesus showed us how this world treats citizens of Heaven. This world has standards. The standards of this world lead us to Hades.

Romans 12:2 (NIV) – 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Say “NO” to the vices of this world. Fast for 40 days from secular TV and Music. Spend 40 minutes each of those days reading God’s Word. As soon as you wake up, spend 10 minutes in His Word and 30 minutes reading at the end of the day.

Daniel 3:13-25 (NKJV) Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, spoke, saying to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up? if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, he spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. 20 And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21 Then these men were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 22 the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”

They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”

25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

God calls us to seek and save the lost. We have to go into the world to find the lost. We do not have to partake of the world.

Stay focused on your Eternal Life with God. Do Not Seek Temporary Thrills Of This World.
