John 4:11 (KJV) – The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
The Living Water Jesus told her about is the Spirit of God. Water has many qualities that relate to the Spirit of God. We know that water is usually in motion. The oceans and rivers have constant movement. Energy is present in the power of its currents. Unlike many liquids, water has a cleansing ability. Oil or mud can imbrue objects. Water cleanses and purifies.
For centuries, water has represented purification and transformation. It represents tranquility, divinity and sacredness.
John 7:38 (NKJV) – He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
We know that in Genesis 1:2 the Spirit of God moved over the face of the waters. Jesus was speaking, in John 7:38, of the Spirit of God flowing from the hearts of man to cleanse purify and bring peace to the world around us.
People wanted to kill Jesus (John 7:44) when He spoke about the Holy Spirit because they were of the spirit of the world, pride, envy, greed and lust. The Living Water Jesus spoke about overcomes the spirit of the world.
Rest in Peace. Even as we walk through this world today, we may rest in Peace knowing that the Holy Spirit is victorious over evil and the nature of man.
When we speak in Love, the Living Water flows. When we allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us, we accomplish the will of God.
Revelation 7:17 (KJV) – For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
