1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
That verse assures me that the Spirit of God, The Holy Spirit, is in us. We do not simply dwell in the midst of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is inside of us.
When we get entranced in a TV show, the writer of the show has control over what you feed your spirit. It is more obvious in children by how they act and want things based on what they see on TV. Adults are also victims to the desires through TV.
Many people watch TV to see the way they should act, what they should wear, where they should eat, who they should vote for, etc…
Christians need to be asking God about what they should do, not following the ways of the world.
Psalm 51:10 (NKJV) – Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Meditate on These Things
Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) – Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
