Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
We must not hoard our fruits. They are a gift from God. When Jesus is alive in our hearts, the Holy Spirit desires to flow through us to reach a lost and dying world. We can not be selfish with the gifts God has given us. Share the fruit of the Spirit.
John 15:5 (KJV)
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Jesus should be the center of everything we do. When we focus on doing what Jesus would do in every circumstance, the fruit of the Spirit is manifested in our actions and our attitude. Jesus, the son of man, was the master of love, joy, peace, meekness, etc… He did not hide the Holy Spirit or cover up His light.
Luke 6:43-45 (MSG) – “You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.
Doing the right thing will not get you through Heaven’s gates. “Acts of love” are not always done in love. Our work may be in vain if it is not from the heart. To be sure that your fruit is healthy, keep Jesus as our source of life.
Luke 6:44a (KJV) – For every tree is known by his own fruit.
