Glory to Glory
2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) – But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
What would Jesus do? This is a question that gets easier and easier as we continuously spend time with God. As we change our way of living to be more like Christ, we learn it does not happen overnight. We are saved in an instance when we accept Jesus into our hearts. The process of salvation takes time and it isn’t idle time. We must work to be like Christ. We must sacrifice to be like Christ. We must be willing to change from glory to glory.
Genesis 1:27a, 9:6b (KJV) – So God created man in his own image; for in the image of God made he man.
Genesis 5:1 (KJV) – In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
1 Corinthians 6:3 (KJV) – Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
God gives us authority and power to use in this life as man/woman. We have dominion over all creatures of the Earth. Humans and dogs are not equal species. God made man in the image of God, in that we have logic, reason, emotion and other characteristics in common with God. God is the almighty supreme Creator of Heaven and Earth. He did create man to commune with, have relations with and share His Love. Let our whole lives be to the Glory of God.
Psalm 8:1, 4-7, 9 (NKJV)
1 O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen—
Even the beasts of the field,
9 O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!
