Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV) – Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Joshua 10:25 (KJV) – And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
It is easy to do the wrong thing. Our natural body says take the easy way out. God calls us to fight. The world may be calling you to do something to impress men. Resist the temptations of the world. Make sure you are pleasing God first.
Just as the body needs resistance and nutrition to build strength, our Spirit gets stronger as we spend time fighting the good fight in prayer and feeding our Spirit the Word of God. The battle belongs to the LORD. Therefore we need to listen to Him for directions.
2 Chronicles 32:7a (KJV) – Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed
Strong and complaisant do not go together. Courage and weak do not go together. God’s Word says to NOT be weak and complaisant. Stand strong in His Word and wait for Him to move on your behalf.
Psalm 27:14 (KJV) – Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
“You need to plead with God to do what only He can do. And then you need to get out of the way and let Him do it.” – Ms. Clara (War Room 2015)
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
