Exodus 14:13 (NIV) – Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.
As the world turns, so shall all Christians stand on the rock of salvation in Christ Jesus our Lord. Do not let the winds of change move you from the rock of ages.
The world around us and the people striving for acceptance from society will tear down Christians and their belief that Love wins. Stand your ground as others look for war, look for fault and look for reasons to insight hurt and destruction.
Joshua 3:8 (KJV) – And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
After the nation of Israel wondered through the desert and came up to the Jordan river, where God told them to camp for a season, Joshua gave commands to the spiritual leaders, the priest that carry the ark of the covenant, to carry the ark, the presence of God, into the river and stand still while the nation of Israel was delivered to the Promised Land.
The priests obeyed God and stood in the river. They watched the LORD dry up the Jordan River so that the people crossed the Jordan River on dry ground.
Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) – The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Stand with confidence, knowing that the rock of ages, Jesus, will not be defeated. God has made promises to us, wanting us to abide in His Word and adhere to His commands so we may receive His promises. We are standing on the promises of God by faith.
