2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The Greek translation of New Creature, Kaine Ktisis, is vital to understand God’s power in this verse. The new life that Paul explains is from the creating power of God. It is used only one other time in the Bible (Gal 6:15).
Galatians 6:15 (KJV) – For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
This is not a cleaning power or a restorative power. The old things are GONE. God has a way of doing away with the things that are not of Him. The biggest miracle in our salvation is the creation of new life.
You can clean and shine shoes to make them like new. The dirt and scars may be gone and the shoe remains, “like new”. This is NOT the “Kaine Ktisis” power.
Kaine Ktisis is something new created from nothing. It is not about Kosher or Jews and Gentiles. It is not about Methodists and Catholics. “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature”
Isaiah 42:9-10 (KJV)
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV)
18 “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
