09-30-15 – Eagles

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Eagles are swift bold majestic creatures. When we serve the LORD with our actions and whole heartedly, God promises us strength and clarity. Eagles have incredible sight. They also fly effortlessly in the highest and strongest wind.

Jeremiah 48:40 (KJV) – For thus saith the Lord; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.

We can rise above the mire of this world on wings as eagles. God wants us to have keen vision and a constant awareness of our enemy. As we serve the LORD, we should be sober and alert, not slacking, but swift as an eagle.

Romans 12:11-13 (NLT)

11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. 12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
