10-12-15 – Doubt

Matthew 14:30-31 (NASB)

30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Doubt kills faith. Doubt is dangerous. Do not doubt the devil’s intent to kill and destroy. Do not doubt the omnipotent authority of God in Jesus name.

By faith, we walk in spirit. We can rise above the storms and confusion in this world. It is faith in the power of God that empowers us to be victorious against all odds.

Romans 14:23 (NLT) – But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.

Doubt is also conviction. If you doubt drinking wine is the right thing to do, then it is the wrong thing to do. If you believe there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, keep it between you and God (Romans 14:22).

John 20:27 (NIV)

27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

The disciples who witnessed Jesus after His resurrection saw that Jesus ate food and had a physical body. The same person that was beaten and crucified on a cross before all men to see was alive and teaching them again.

Romans 1:20 (NKJV) – For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

The awesome power of God is displayed before us every day by events that are inexplicable. We understand that water and seed make trees. We understand that sperm and egg make babies. There is no way in science to explain the miracle of life and how the ingredients become living creations.

Luke 24:36-38 (NLT)

36 And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. 37 But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!

38 “Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt?

Do not doubt Jesus loves you and He wants you to be free of evil and come to know Him as the Way to the Father.
