Trick or Treat
Luke 11:5b, (NLT)
5 “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread.
You do not have to open your door to trick or treaters. If you choose to not participate in Halloween, it is just fine. Please God Bless everyone on Halloween night and keep everyone safe, in Jesus name.
How often do people come to your door asking for something? When we ask God for provision, he freely gives. Trick or Treaters don’t know what you have for them. They just want a treat!
Luke 11:8b (NLT) – 8 if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.
Use this time as an opportunity to BLESS THEM. Print scriptures on paper, like what you find in a fortune cookie, and give them God’s Word. Give them an invitation to your church. Give them candy, also, if you can.
Luke 11:10b (NLT) – 10 And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
This time of knocking and asking is a wonderful opportunity to reach the lost. You can dress up like Gabriel or Michael the arch angels and see if they are scared. Dress up as Jesus and offer to pray with them.
You can enjoy Halloween and let Peace reign. Do remember those who served the Lord until their dying day. It is a night to remember those people you loved, that await your arrival in Heaven.
