1 John 3:20 (KJV) – For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Our feelings are vain and addictive. Part of being physical, as opposed to Spiritual, is relying on your feelings to support your contentment.
Feelings are weak and temporary. They are influenced by our surroundings and actions of others. It is OK to be sad when others make mistakes. It is OK to be angry when other people hurt us on purpose.
We cannot let the temporary feelings control our actions. In the future you will remember your actions, not the influences that provoked you to action.
Proverbs 29:11 (NLT) – Fools vent their anger,
but the wise quietly hold it back.
Let feelings remain feelings. Do not turn them into actions. When we allow our surroundings to affect our emotions, and emotions to guide our actions, we become a product of our environment.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The key to living a Spiritual life and walking in Faith is to act upon the promises of God. We cannot let the world bring us down.
The world calls this being fake. If we praise God when our dog dies or when we get a divorce, the world does not understand. God says to praise Him and trust Him in all situations.
Psalm 32:8-9 (NLT)
8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”
